07/19/20 – I Like It, Do You?

CURRENT EVENTS

I don’t know who wrote this, but I like it.

I’m sick of covid-19.
I’m sick of black vs. white.
I’m sick of Democrats vs. Republicans.
I’m sick of gay vs. straight.
I’m REALLY sick of the media.
I’m sick of the language being used and plastered all over the media…
I’m sick of no one being allowed to think what they want & feel what they do without offending someone.
I am sick of the people who are out there jumping on the bandwagon to protest just to cause mass confusion and more hatred and to riot, loot, and destroy…
I am sick of blaming the world for the sins of a few.

We’re one race—the human race. WE ALL MATTER!!

You want to support President Trump? You do it! It’s your choice.
You want to support Biden? Fine… also your choice!
You want to believe in God? Okay, believe in God.
You want to believe in magical creatures that fly around & sprinkle fairy dust to make life better? Awesome… you do it!!

BUT how about being mature enough to be able to deal with the fact that everyone doesn’t have the same exact mind-set as you. Having our own minds is what makes us all individuals and beautiful. If you can’t handle that fact….I’m sorry!! I don’t have to agree with everything you believe in.

So be a decent human being.

BOOK OF THE WEEK

MOVIE, PLAY OR TV SHOW OF THE WEEK

I thought this was a very thought provoking independent film.

It is much more than a simple love story.

ART OF THE WEEK

This is a carved wooden eagle that I bought and had in my back yard for years.  But unfortunately, like many things in Michigan made of wood it is no more.

  EXTRAORDINARY PERSON OF THE WEEK

I’ve been hosting various happy hour parties for a decade now and it seems like I have lost so many attendees. Elaine was a frequent attendee.

Elaine Belich

Elaine came in first place at my last Halloween Happy Hour

  WEEK’S JOKE

PHYSICAL TRAITS

There is a school of thought that physical pain is just a manifestation of some psychological trauma.

You can do that.

I recall reading that David Brown said that, “Psychoanalysis isn’t for everyone, certainly not for the financially strapped.

  1. Love, love, love this one! It had me laughing out loud. Loved the beginning and I couldn’t agree more. Also, the song… this was my dad’s favorite movie. He passed away this month 18 years ago and the song brought back so many wonderful, long-ago memories and for that I thank you. Such a pleasant happy reminder of him!
    The dog meme— hilarious.

  2. Ah! How I wish people understood the concept of different perspectives.
How I wish they were more kinder, and saw themselves as one race.
This was quite thought provoking and beautiful and yes, I liked the movie Cafe. Really nice blog, I am enjoying reading it!
