Happy Valentine’s Day
BOOK OF THE WEEK
To be honest, I’m not sure if I would recommend this book if it wasn’t Valentine’s Day.
Historical Heartthrobs
By Kelly Murphy with Hallie Fryd
This book compiles photos and life stories of fifty of the sexiest men and women from history and asks the essential question: Would you really want to date them?
Some are artists, some are scientists, and many are political or military leaders, but all have had a lasting impact on human life―and a sizable impact on their admirers as well.
Each entry describes the period in which the heartthrob lived and includes essential stats, hilarious sidebars, and, of course, a “crushability” ranking: a measurement of how crush-worthy these people really are, based on their relative levels of heroism (or villainy).(Source: Amazon)
MOVIE OF THE WEEK
Although this is somewhat of a Christmas movie, its theme is love. Therefore, I thought it is an appropriate movie for this week’s post. It really is a very good movie with its share of humor.
Love Actually
MUSIC OF THE WEEK
Addicted To Love
By Robert Palmer
Some equal time
Man I Feel Like A Woman
By Shania Twain
ART OF THE WEEK
I decorated for Valentine’s Day
EXTRAORDINARY PERSON OF THE WEEK
Patrick Mahomes
Why do I think the quarterback who lost the Super Bowl game is the week’s most outstanding person.
Patrick Mahomes was among the first players to congratulate Tom Brady on Super Bowl win.
What an example to everyone about everything!
JOKE OF THE WEEK
PHYSICAL TRAITS
CHARACTER TRAITS
It is nice to be with someone, but the person you are with the most is yourself.
SOCIAL TRAITS
LEARNING TRAITS
I can appreciate what the above it trying to say, but I think maybe it depends upon your years. I like to see a young person with a heart and an older person with a brain when it comes to love.
MISCELLANEOUS
Polls
Only around 10% of you who view this block take part in the polls. However, I have heard from many of those in that 10% and so I just had to bring back the polls since you like them so much.
For the other 90% of you, I think we would all like to know what you think. You cannot be identified, so please feel free to express yourself.
Book
If you have ever been curious about this book, the Kindle version of this book has now been reduced to $1.00 and the paperback version has been reduced to $10.00
However, I must warn you that this book will not change your life,
only you can do that.
This book can be ordered from Amazon or Barnes & Nobles.
The polls are back, what a surprise. They are fun.:-) The hubster and I watched Lost in Translation which was ALMOST a love story but not quite. Still, it was good for a romantic weekend-n-movie.

Yes, I just couldn’t do without those polls. It just wasn’t any fun creating a post, without them. Lost in Transaction is an excellent movie and I liked how you described it–“almost” a love story.

I liked Lost in Translation too. Big fan of the quirky movies. And the oldies. Bill, I like your polls… always read them. Now I will participate every week.

I don’t know if you’re a cat person, but I appreciate the OwlKitty parody of that famous Love Actually scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WavYF1O9pTs

Yes, cats are interesting. They are never entirely domesticated.
