BOOK OF THE WEEK
Blinkist is a book summary app. First off, I want to say that I receive nothing from Blinkist. I think you will find there are a number of other book summary apps.
I didn’t think such a service would be good for me, since I like to hold a book in my hands and I also like to highlight and write in my books.
Lately, I have been disappointed with many of the books I have bought and a friend suggested that Blinkist may be a good way to scan books to see if they are going to be of interest to me, before I buy the book.
They were right and I have found the service useful. You may or may not. I just wanted to bring these types of book summary apps to your attention.
MOVIE OF THE WEEK
I’m into Season Two of this three season Hulu show and find it entertaining.
Only Murders in the Building
Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery comedy-drama television series created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman.
The plot follows three strangers played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, with a shared interest in true crime podcasts. They become friends while investigating suspicious deaths in their affluent Upper West Side apartment building, and producing their own podcast about the cases.
Its three 10-episode seasons premiered on Hulu in August 2021, June 2022, and August 2023.
Season 4 could either arrive in fall/late 2024, or in 2025.

ART OF THE WEEK
I Keep Smelling Things to See If They Smell Like You

I bought the original of this years ago and still enjoy it every day.
Ironically, she doesn’t have a nose.
EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE OF THE WEEK
René Magritte (21 Nov 1898 – 15 Aug 1967)
René Magritte was a Belgian surrealist artist. He became well known for a number of witty and thought-provoking images that fall under the umbrella of surrealism. His work is known for challenging observers’ preconditioned perceptions of reality. (Source: Wikipedia)
I would like to add that he was a philosopher, who just happened to communicate via paintings. If you wish to think outside the box, you really need to see a number of his works. He is my favorite artist and his paintings (Copies of course), are all over our house.
Here are just a few examples of his work:

A very interesting artist. Often his work appears on book covers and he may be the source for the CBS eye. Thank you Crystal for commenting
