I’ve read Illusions. It’s interesting.
I saw To Have and Have Not when I was a kid, no doubt on the daytime movie channel when I was home sick from school. I’ve forgotten most of it. Definitely need to see it again!
Only 3 left from TOS Star Trek. That makes me feel sad. And old. But it’s okay to be old. It means I didn’t did an untimely death when I was young.
I laughed so hard at the Jesus meme. We humans DO think like that … trying to make an exception or an excuse to get out of doing the right (but difficult) thing!

Thank you so much for your observations Priscilla.
I’m at the point now where I spend more time reviewing the highlighting and notes I’ve made in books I’ve already read, than new books or perhaps better said, “books I have not read.”
I’ve started watching the old movies, since I find so many of the newer films are either primary action, or promoting some ideas to the extent that they forget to be entertaining.
I wish it was just Star Trek, it seems I only have one friend remaining, who knew me when I was a different person.
Over the years, I have come across a few Jesus memes that have a lot to say, using few words.
Glad you enjoyed the post.

Yeah, kids/audiences today have missed out on the great writing from the original Star Trek days, when they had actual sci-fi people writing that stuff instead of just anybody. Or the gritty movies of the ’70s, John Cassavetes and those people, good stuff, sans capes or anyone flying or shooting lasers or saying much or anything besides, “Here’s a snapshot of someone’s life. Sink into it and enjoy.” 🙂
