MOVIES OF THE WEEK (PELÍCULAS DE LA SEMANA)
I just returned from Prince Edward Island, Canada, where I visited the home of Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables. The house is now a tourist attraction ran by relatives of L M Montgomery.
I’ve seen several versions of this movie, all of which were reasonably good, but my favorite is the one staring Megan Fellows in the role of Anne Shirley. The way Anne looks at the world and her unique apologies captivated me.
Anne of Green Gables
Anne of Green Gables is a 1908 novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery. Written for all ages, it has been considered a children’s novel since the mid-twentieth century. It recounts the adventures of Anne Shirley, an 11-year-old orphan girl who is mistakenly sent to Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, a middle-aged brother and sister who had intended to adopt a boy to help them on their farm in the fictional town of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island.
Since its publication, Anne of Green Gables has sold more than 50 million copies and has been translated into 20 languages. Montgomery wrote numerous sequels, and since her death, another sequel has been published, as well as an authorized prequel. The original book is taught to students around the world. I just love the way the character Anne Shirley describes things. She never lets her eyesight interfere with her vision. Thanks again for commenting Christy.

So interesting to compare the 1960s Batman with Batman today. A huge physical change. Not sure if men’s expectations to fulfill the new and more unrealistic ideal has changed along with it.
And yeah I’m going to Europe this year! A close friend of mine is even planning to move to Paris.

I favor the 1960s Batman, more recent versions are a bit too dark for my taste.
Good for you; going to Europe. It will be a rewarding adventure
Your friend will like in one of the most amazing cities in the world–Paris. One of my favorite painting is “Rainy Day in Paris”. I was once in Paris on a rainy day–what a wonderful experience.

I love Mr. T! ❤ He's still one of my childhood heroes. Although I think we can cut the "childhood" from that sentence.
