CURRENT EVENTS
I’ve been a fan of Groundhog Day ever since I saw the film, which I will mention in the Movie of the Week section of this post. I even went so far as to start the Royal Oak Groundhog Club. Alas, BlackFinn in Royal Oak is no more and the Royal Oak Groundhog Club has been dormant for years.
I think after this pandemic is behind us, I’m going to see if I can’t give the Royal Oak Groundhog Club some CPR.
BOOK OF THE WEEK
This little book (Literally 4 1/4″ X 5″) of less than 100 pages is a treasury of good advice on how to live. If you have any interest in becoming a better person, you should check this book out.
A Manual for Living
By Epictetus
The West’s first and best little instruction book offers thoroughly contemporary and pragmatic reflections on how best to live with serenity and joy. (Source: Back cover)
MOVIE OF THE WEEK
I think this is my favorite movie because it is about a person who lives the same day over and over until he finally gets it right. Isn’t that what we all should be trying to do!

Assembly Instructions
It is common to buy items that call for assembling before using. The manufacturer of these items include instructions for putting the item together. It is important for you to study these instructions before you try to put the item together. For almost every item I have ever tried to put together, I found I needed a screwdriver.
MISCELLANEOUS
One month down and eleven more months to go.
LAST WEEK’S POLL
Book
If you have ever been curious about this book, the Kindle version of this book has now been reduced to $1.00 and the paperback version has been reduced to $10.00
However, I must warn you that this book will not change your life,
only you can do that.
This book can be ordered from Amazon or Barnes & Nobles.
We love Groundhog Day too! ❤️🦋🌀

Thank you Sheila for letting me know. I watch it every year at this time, even when there is not Groundhog Day party.

Always interesting stuff! The polls didn’t appear to record my votes today. Hmm, “they” must have found out about me.:-)

Thank you Priscilla. Yes, I noticed that about the polls. Not sure what is going on. I’m expecting it to be resolved sometime on Monday, although I haven’t made an inquiry of WordPress.

Thank you LA for letting me know, something is wrong with the polling mechanism that I have always used. If it doesn’t clear up today, I’m going to check with WordPress about what is going on.

I’ve been doing polls as well, so I’m going to see if I’m having any issues as well

LA, my polls still are working. So I tried replacing an existing poll to see if that would work and it didn’t. I’m going to have to contact WordPress since this probably doesn’t seem to be going away. You mentioned that you also include polls in your posts. Are they working?

I got less responses to my poll on Sunday but I don’t know if that was just because they didn’t like the question. Let me play with it too. Thanks!

Same here on my last post, poll responses were down 50% from normal. I was thinking I just didn’t ask cool questions; but now I think it was a problem with the poll function.

I’ll alert them as well and maybe we can get them to fix it!

Chuckled again at your joke of the week. They won’t accept money during COVID. We can only tap our plastic.
