BOOK OF THE WEEK
I have read and reviewed this book many times over the years and if you are serious about being extraordinary, I would check it out.
It’s Not How Good You Are,
It’s How Good You Want To Be (2003)
By Paul Arden
This uplifting and humorous little book provides a unique insight into the world of advertising and is a quirky compilation of quotes, facts, pictures, wit and wisdom – all packed into easy-to-digest, bite-sized spreads. If you want to succeed in life or business, this book is a must. (Source: Goodreads)
MOVIE OF THE WEEK
Man From Toronto (Netflix 2022)
I thought this sort of mindless movie was very funny at times. I’m not showing the trailer because I don’t think the trailer did the film justice, nor did the reviews.
It is still at times an extraordinarily funny movie and worth watching once.
MUSIC OF THE WEEK
I was going to say this is one of the most beautiful things ever created by humans; but as I look around, I see and hear beauty everywhere. So, I will just say I hope you enjoy this music as much as I do.
Cannon in D Major (Composed about 1680–90)
Johann Pachelbel
Johann Pachelbel (baptised 1 September 1653 – buried 9 March 1706) was a German composer, organist, and teacher.
He composed a large body of sacred and secular music, have earned him a place among the most important composers of the middle Baroque era.
Pachelbel’s music enjoyed enormous popularity during his lifetime. Today, Pachelbel is best known for the Canon in D.
ART OF THE WEEK
The Acropolis of Athens
The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance, the most famous being the Parthenon.
The term acropolis is generic and there are many other acropoleis in Greece. During ancient times the Acropolis of Athens was known also more properly as Cecropia, after the legendary serpent-man, Cecrops, the supposed first Athenian king.
While there is evidence that the hill was inhabited as far back as the fourth millennium BC, it was Pericles (c. 495–429 BC) in the fifth century BC who coordinated the construction of the buildings.
The Parthenon and the other buildings were seriously damaged during the 1687 siege by the Venetians during the Morean War when gunpowder being stored in the Parthenon was hit by a Venetian bombardment and exploded. (Source: Wikipedia)

Thank you Daphny for commenting and I hope you start making more time for yourself. Years later I’m guessing you, like most of us will look back and see that many things aren’t as important as they seem at this moment. Regardless, best wishes Daphny.
