BOOK OF THE WEEK

You may find it difficult to obtain this book, but what an opportunity to learn something of the people who shaped the world during their time.

Leaders

By Richard Nixon

Richard Nixon knew virtually every major foreign leader since World War II–some at the pinnacle of power, some during their “years in the wilderness” out of power, and still others toward the end of their lives. His was an unparalleled opportunity to gain insight into the nature of the powerful and qualities of leadership. (Source: Amazon)

MOVIE OF THE WEEK

Although technically, a Christmas romance film, I believe it is still a good film to watch anytime. It did contain some unnecessary sex/nudity associated with one couple, but I wouldn’t let that keep you from watching some great love stories.

Love Actually (2003)

Love Actually is a British Christmas-themed romantic comedy film. The screenplay delves into different aspects of love as shown through ten separate stories involving a wide variety of individuals.  (Source: Wikipedia)

But if you want something more current

This film isn’t thought of very highly by the critics and it can be a little confusing as to what character is in what body, but  it has such a nice ending. I always like a nice ending.

ART  OF THE WEEK

It is possible for honest and well intentioned people to be exposed to the same set of circumstances and come up with vastly different views.

For example, many see a young woman in the above picture, but others see an old woman. Both are correct.

  1. Very thoughtful words as always. I do love the movie: Love Actually. I adore Hugh Grant, Liam Neesom and the kid who played his son was just adorable. Thanks again for your challenging thoughts. And Happy New Year.

    • Thank you Kate. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner with
birthday wishes. I afraid I will not be able to keep the blog running due to some heath problems I have been experiencing.
