BOOK OF THE WEEK

I read this book back in October of last year and I recently went through my notes and highlights that I made in this book at that time.

I believe if you are into self-help books, you will find some value and inspiration in this book.

However, if you aren’t into self-help books, don’t like Arnold (we all have our faults), or for some other reason you aren’t interested in this book; okay.

I hope just the title (BE USEFUL), will benefit you.

Be Useful (2023)

By Arnold Schwarzenegger

MOVIE OF THE WEEK

This film was described by some critics as mindless entertainment, suitable for streaming.

I think it is a bit better than that, but sometimes all one is looking for is some mindless entertainment, that one can stream.

Lift (2024)

MUSIC OF THE WEEK

Sorry that police scene comes in at the end and tarnishes an absolutely outstanding music video.

John The Revelator

By Sam Moore (Blues Brothers 2000)

EXTRAORDINARY PERSON OF THE WEEK

Ed Barszcz

In addition to all the above, he was a very good friend to me.

JOKE OF THE WEEK

PHYSICAL TRAITS

CHARACTER TRAITS

SOCIAL TRAITS

    • Yes, not only electrocuted to death, but also fined. Sounds like they really don’t want that box opened. I thought some of the critics were rough on Lift. I can’t even start or if I do start, I cannot finish watching a number of current films. As always, thank you for commenting Priscilla.

  1. Bill, my friend, I’m so happy about your book! All of the things you share always speak to me in some way. I laugh, think, ponder, and am always curious about the movies, too. The fine WITH the electrocution–jeez! I enjoyed every “trait” quote–particularly about the bad mood and cruel words (we just can’t take back how we might’ve made someone feel?) and most of all, I’m sorry about the loss of your friend. I’m sending prayers and good wishes daily, dear friend. I watched “Killers of the Flower Moon” and two episodes of “Master of the Sky” on Apple TV. They each held things I liked and disliked. This week I hope to write and read as well as take care of home responsibilities. Stay well and blessed! I’m cheering you on always!
