I’ve mentioned this book a number of times. I thought many of the ideas in this book may be relevant to all faiths and philosophies.   Basically it is about taking a break from all the busyness of the world to think about what is really important.

This is a very dark, yet captivating series.

Severance

Severance is an American science fiction psychological thriller television series. The series follows employees at the biotechnology corporation Lumon Industries that have undergone “severance”—a medical procedure that ensures they retain no memories of the outside world while at work, and have no recollection of their job once they leave. Severance premiered on Apple TV+ on February 18, 2022. It currently consists of two seasons, for a total of 19 episodes. Severance was renewed for a third season on March 21, 2025.

As I mentioned, this is a very dark series, so I was so surprised when this dance scene came up in Season 1 of Severance.

    • I think postcards and cards in general have become a thing of the past since it is so much easier today to just send a photo or video clip. I used to send out a bunch of postcards every trip I took, but very few people very acknowledge them and it was a lot of trouble when I was in Europe–so I stopped.
