01/01/23 – Happy New Year

CURRENT EVENTS

BOOK OF THE WEEK

How do you think you will be feeling on January 1, 2024, which is one year away. Books like the one below will encourage you to do something about your health. If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.

Younger Next Year

By Chris Crowley & Henry S. Lodge, M.D.

Dr. Henry Lodge provides the science. Chris Crowley provides the motivation. And through their New York Times bestselling program, you’ll discover how to put off 70 percent of the normal problems of aging—weakness, sore joints, bad balance—and eliminate 50 percent of serious illness and injury. Plus, prominent neurologist Allan Hamilton now explains how following “Harry’s Rules” for diet, exercise, and staying emotionally connected directly affects your brain—all the way down to the cellular level. MOVIE OF THE WEEK

I’ve watched and enjoyed Season 1 & 2, so as soon as Season 3 came, I watched the entire Season 3 last week. Season 4 is expected in the fall or winter of 2023. I understand there will also be a Season 5.

Around New Year’s Eve, the media uses Father Time as the personification of the previous year (or “the Old Year”) who typically “hands over” the duties of time to a baby representing the New Year.

MISCELLANEOUS

BOOK

Coming Out in 2023

I’m have trouble deciding upon a title and a cover. I realize the photo of Uncle Tony is probably not enticing for a management book.

As for the title, well that too may not be enticing for a management book. Nevertheless, the book does provide management tips; along  with considerable humor.

Any and all comments will be appreciated and taken into consideration; although, I may follow my own star.

  1. Oh, that pi joke! I love the 365 opportunities quote. And wow, the Stones look so YOUNG! As for your new book, I suppose you’re supposed to look at comp titles and choose a similar style for your cover art and title, but eh, it’s your book. I’d read it either way. Happy New Year!

  2. Loved it all…. especially the ‘time and a half’ joke had me chuckling out loud.
As for your book. ‘The Mirror Holds the Answers’, or some such comes to mind….
    Wishing you all the best.
