Letters from a Stoic
By Seneca
This readable version of Seneca’s writings contains some worthwhile advice.
Born in 4 B.C. and sentence to death by three Roman emperors (Caligula, Claudius, and Nero–who succeeded), his thoughts are still relevant today.
For several years of his turbulent life, Seneca was the guiding hand of the Roman Empire.
His inspired reasoning is derived mainly from Stoic principles.

Love the cat being interviewed and I will try to make it my day and you do the same
Yes Crystal, and thank you. I suspect we are all a bit like that cat being interviewed 🙂
When I learned that the lottery “to support education” went to increase the administration’s building size in the state’s capital city plus hire more workers for that building (none went to the schools themselves, at least for the time frame of the report), I was horrified. Buying lottery tickets to get rich or to support education just isn’t worth it.
That clothespin couple is so cute. People can be very creative with ordinary objects!
Thank you for commenting Priscilla. There may also be an issue of when dedicated funds go to an activity, sometimes they short the amount that would have come from the general fund (Sorry for bring that aspect up, but my BA was in Accounting). Yes, one can do extraordinary things with ordinary objects. 🙂
Love all of this post Bill.
Carl Jung quote in particular stands out.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you Margaret for commenting. I’m glad you found the Carl Jung quote interesting; although, not surprised that you did my friend 🙂
Ah, really Bill 🙂
